Upcharging for Stitch Count and Using 91-F1K

Pricing for embroidery includes up to 10k stitches, and an upcharge may apply to designs that exceed that stitch count limit

Charging for embroidery based on stitch count is fairly standard in the industry.

Since we digitize after the order has been scheduled and the final confirmation has been sent, we generally do not charge for stitch count on New orders, unless it is clear that the stitch count will be excessive.

To find the stitch count on a repeat order, go to the order being repeated in EWO and go to the Pre-Dec tab. The Stitch Count box will note the number of stitches. Please note: fronts and sides are combined on the dig file, and if the order also had side embroidery the stitch count would include that as well

To upcharge a customer for stitch count:

  1. Add the upcharge SKU: On the same part, add SKU 91-F1K
  2. Calculate the 91-F1K Price: To get your upcharge, determine the stitch count on the logo in question. For every 1000 stitches over 10,000 stitches, the customer pays an upcharge of $.15 per cap
    1. For example: if the design is 15,000 stitches, multiply 5 x $.15 to get your upcharge of $.75
  3. Update SKU Quantity: 91-F1K quantity should equal the number of caps on the part
  4. Resync your order w/ SAP

See order 8836278 and the brief explanation in CS notes as an example of stitch count upcharge being applied correctly
