# Licensed Logos

## A brief (and in progress) summary of licensed logos and what Richardson is and is not licensed to produce

Licensing is the process of leasing a trademarked or copyrighted property for use in connection with a product, service, or promotion.

 

If the logo is a licensed logo, the dealer needs to provide proof that they are authorized to produce headwear or apparel with the licensed logo

 

**Common Team Licensed Logos**:

| Association | Is Richardson licensed to produce? |
| --- | --- |
| American Legion | Yes, see [American Legion PDF](https://richardsonsports.sharepoint.com/cs/Shared%20Documents/Resources/Decorated%20Order%20Processing/American%20Legion_11.7.23.pdf) for processing instructions |
| Cal Ripken | No, unless the dealer provides documentation that they hold the license |
| Babe Ruth | No, unless the dealer provides documentation that they hold the license |
